

Madison Square Garden Entertainment has launched a “thank you” campaign encouraging the public to thank the New York City Police Department for their service to our great city.
Join us in showing your gratitude by thanking the NYPD – either in person or by submitting your own “thank you” video below.
The initiative also includes the “Thank You, NYPD” event, a private concert for the NYPD to celebrate the department’s dedication to keeping New York City safe. The event is open exclusively to invited uniformed officers and civilian employees of the NYPD and, as applicable, their guest(s).

Get Involved: Submit Your “Thank You, NYPD” Video!
Join our campaign to thank the NYPD! Submit your own video and share your thanks. Submitted videos may appear in advertising and promotional materials, including on msg.com/nypd, The Garden’s social handles, in-game during Knicks and Rangers games, and during the “Thank You, NYPD” event on March 28 at MSG.
Please follow the below guidelines:
- What To Say: Share a brief, positive thank you to the NYPD
- Video Specs: 10–30 seconds long, vertical (9:16) preferred, with clear audio and good lighting
- Avoid: Background music, logos on clothing or items, copyrighted content, profanity or offensive gestures, and any promotional or political messaging. See Waiver and Release at the submission page for additional prohibited content.
March 28 Event
“Thank You, NYPD,” is a private concert for the NYPD taking place on March 28 at Madison Square Garden. The event will feature performances by music legends John Fogerty and Cyndi Lauper, rapper Fat Joe, comedians Chris Distefano and Sam Morril, and more, with appearances by celebrities, athletes, business leaders and other prominent New York figures.
More than 15,000 attendees, including NYPD officers and employees from across the five boroughs and their loved ones, will be invited to “Thank You, NYPD” as guests of Madison Square Garden.
This event is open exclusively to invited uniformed officers and civilian employees of the NYPD and, if applicable, their guest(s). No tickets will be available for public sale.

- Who is eligible to attend the event?
- Attendance is open exclusively to uniformed officers and civilian employees of the New York City Police Department, who have been invited by the NYPD, and their guest(s) to the extent they are invited to bring guest(s).
- No tickets will be available for public sale.
- Is identification required?
- NYPD officers and employees will need to present their NYPD ID, along with their ticket, in order to enter the venue.
Ticketing
- How are tickets being distributed?
- NYPD attendees are required to enter the venue with their guests.
- NYPD officers and employees will need to present their NYPD ID, along with their ticket, in order to enter the venue.
- Is seating assigned or general admission?
- Seating is assigned, and seat location will be noted on the ticket.
- Are tickets transferrable?
- No. Tickets are non-transferable and must be used by the original, intended recipient.
- Is ADA or accessible seating available?
- For any questions related to accessible seating, please contact the Accessibility Services Department or call 888-609-7599, Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
Arriving at The Garden
- What time does the event start?
- Doors open at 7:00 PM. The event begins at 8:00 PM.
- Where do I enter?

- What is your policy on re-entering the building?
- All exits are final. Guests are not permitted to leave and then re-enter.
- Will food and beverage be available for purchase?
- Yes. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. Please note: alcohol will not be served at this event.
Prohibited Items
- Items not permitted inside Madison Square Garden include (but are not limited to):
- Mace, pepper spray
- Laser pointers or other devices capable of projection
- Fireworks
- Aerosol cans
- Signs, banners, flags
- Noisemaking devices, including cowbells, alarm devices and airhorns
- Balls, frisbees
- Drones
- Hoverboards and skateboards
- Illegal substances
- Outside food and beverages, including but not limited to alcohol
- Large bags (bags must be within 22” x 14” x 9”. All bags regardless of size are required to be screened with x-ray technology)
- Offensive clothing (including garments or signs displaying explicit or inciting language, profanity or derogatory characterization towards any person(s))
- Professional and/or commercial cameras with telephoto or zoom lenses
- Tripods (including selfie-sticks, poles, monopods and other projectiles)
- Audio/visual recording devices (including GoPro, Google Glass, Spectacles, etc.) (Does not include phones, but certain events may be designated “device free” events, and the “Device Free” Policy will apply)
